When my bestie made this for me back when we were teens, the very first thing I asked her was what made a casserole a casserole? Like every other sixteen year old, she shrugged and said, “I don’t know”. Well, let me tell you, a casserole has to be cooked in the oven to be considered a casserole. That’s right. You all probably knew that, but I didn’t! I am telling you now, you DO NOT toss this puppy in the oven! This dish is NOT a casserole, and I believe it needs a new name. Please feel free to…

To bean or not to bean, that is the question! Honestly, I have never understood the big debate here. Chili isn’t a chili without chili beans, but that’s probably just me. Anyhow, in case you didn’t read the title, this is going to be a chili-dawgs recipe. Yes, I know I am spelling dog, dawg, but honestly, I want you to read it the way I saw it, like Dawg. Not like that judge from American Idol, but like that kid from down south asking his mom if he can “pet that dawg”. https://twitter.com/ladbible/status/1245637092648071168?s=20 I chose chili-dogs because it’s football season and…

Shepherd’s Pie Okay, so traditionally, you are supposed to make this with ground up lamb’s meat. Hence the name. We shepherd sheep, we don’t really shepherd cows. But honestly, I’ve eaten lamb. It mostly sucks. I don’t know why it doesn’t taste good, but it doesn’t. I tried these really expensive lamb chops once and it was just… sweet and the taste was weird. I know that doesn’t tell you much if you’ve never tried it before, but that’s the best I can do. It was weird tasting. So, when I make (watch my bestie make) Shepherd’s Pie, ground beef…

This is Tillie, back again with some weird college, or as one early 00’s cartoon show referred to it, Bachelor Chow! This meal is incredibly easy, especially if someone else already went to the trouble of making the main ingredient for you! I highly suggest this route if you are as cooking challenged as I am. This may not have been one of the meals I set fire to, but it’s one of many that I have burned while making myself a quick lunch. You take leftover spaghetti, I prefer my mom or dad’s version of the dish, and you’re…

This isn’t a dessert or anything like the dessert of the same name. The meal I propose to you is so cheap, so easy, so ludicrously indulgent in a way only comfort food can be, you and your kids will be thanking me! It’s not the healthiest of meals. It’s mostly just mashed potatoes with cheese piled on top of some hotdogs. Yeah, you think I gave the recipe away there, and while you could probably work it out on your own, I am going to share a few tips to making this taste like something more than weird college…
