Pulled pork is a versatile dish that’s perfect for sandwiches, tacos, or just on its own. This crockpot version ensures tender, flavorful pork with minimal effort. The slow cooking process allows the meat to soak up all the delicious spices and sauce.
Ingredients:
- 4 lbs pork shoulder
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Place the sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Rub the pork shoulder with paprika, chili powder, mustard powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place the pork shoulder on top of the onions and garlic.
- Pour the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar over the pork.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
- Shred the pork with two forks and mix it with the sauce in the crockpot.
- Serve on buns, in tacos, or as desired.
