My fiancé and I have been together almost 6 years and he has made dinner once in that time. He is the kind of man that replies “how do I do that” when I ask him to slice a tomato. He does NOT cook or bake… or so I thought…
We recently received a Dutch Oven as a wedding gift and his face lit up like I just handed him the nicest fishing pole out there and told him to have a guys trip. He grabbed the info book out of my hands, found what is was made of (cast iron and ceramic coated), and started looking up all sorts of dessert, stew, and hotdish recipes.
My first thought was GREAT now I’M going to have a bunch of things to make for us to try. Well for the first time in our relationship this man made me speechless!! He found this recipe, made a grocery list, went to the store to get everything, came home, and started to make this dessert! The only thing he asked me to do was zest the lemon.
This recipe will forever be one of my favorites and will always make me smile because of how we found it! This recipe is SUPER simple. It took maybe 5 minutes to throw together!! Give it a try, tell me what you think, and STAY TUNED for MORE Dutch Oven recipes!!!
